Mens Confidential Club is a confidential, web-based Club for men who want to reach their ideal body weight.
The Club offers diets for men, full of easy to prepare, tasty and filling food. To encourage consistent weight loss and general health, the Club will also provide a mens health workout, tailored to a self assessed fitness level. The mens diets and mens health workout are designed to help you to achieve your ideal body weight. In The Zone is our lively magazine giving information about the latest news on food, health and fitness.
Members set their own goals and targets, within suggested guidelines. They then monitor their progress on a weekly basis. Support and encouragement is given to help achieve success.
Members have the opportunity to share information, and exchange ideas with other Club members, but can choose to remain anonymous.
We are a team of nutrionists, personal trainers, psychologists, and Mens health and fitness journalists, who together can give you the tools to lose weight naturally and get fit. And you may even have a bit of fun with us along the way!
Meet some of The Mens Confidential team.
Paul McArdle BSc (Hons) RD MBDA
After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2001 with an honours degree in dietetics, Paul began working in the NHS.
Since that time Paul has specialised in obesity and weight loss, healthy eating, physical activity, Diabetes and Coronary Heart Disease, as well as improving school meals. Paul currently works as a Diabetes Specialist Dietician and Manager for the NHS.
Paul is a member of the Health Professions Council (HPC), is a full member and media spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association (BDA), and a committee member and PR officer for the DMEG (Diabetes Management & Education Group of the BDA).
Paul has provided advice and consultancy to the Mens confidential team, to ensure the nutritional content of the plans is consistent with current guidelines.
Jag Aulak is a well qualified Personal Trainer: he is accredited as an Advanced Instructor by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). The Register has been set up to help safeguard and to promote the health and interests of people who are using the services of exercise and fitness instructors.
Jag specialises in nutrition and weight management. His favourite form of training is weight and resistance training, and his area of expertise is in core and abs training. His background is in martial arts: he has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
For the past 6 years he has been an influential part of the fitness industry, helping both clients and other fitness professionals further their knowledge and improve their techniques.
The training goals that he works on with clients vary from general weight loss (fat loss) and toning to sports specific ones: swimming, football, skiing, car racing, sailing, wall and rock climbing, running, sprinting and triathlons.

Jackie Nixon Company Owner
After graduating in Psychology from Southampton University Jackie went to work for Manchester Social Services in the Publicity Department. She later changed direction and after studying for a Diploma in Fashion, moved to London and became a buyer for the Debenhams Group. There followed a career in retailing an manufacturing working in the areas of design and marketing and dealing with clients such as Marks and Spencers and BhS. She took a career break to have a daughter and moved to the country.
Throughout Jackie has always been a keen on keeping fit and sport. She plays league tennis and badminton regularly, works out, walks and goes to fitness classes. She has always enjoyed good food and wine, and so has struggled to keep her weight down. She worked with friends in a group to lose weight. After her own success she realized that many men had a similar problem but were less likely to be able, or to want to work together in a group to lose weight. She said, “Our business evolved from recognising that whilst there is a lot of provision to help women lose weight, there is very little targeted specifically at men.”

So she came up with the idea for an internet based club where men could access the best current information and advice as to how to lose weight. She spent a year researching and working with experts in the field of weight loss, to establish the latest most successful methods. She then worked with technical programmers for 2 years to translate this latest best practice into a sophisticated, interactive online Club. And because her research told her that men want to be discrete about this issue, she decided to call the Club Mens Confidential.
Jackie said, “Mens Confidential Fitness Management Club features the latest best practices for weight loss, and we are proud that we can offer men an integrated on line solution to the problems that come with being overweight and unfit. We have provided a one stop shop for men to go to - to get fit for life, in confidence. We hope that many men will benefit by joining us.”
